Enjoy More Than Two Nursery Barns at FarmVille NOW!!

Hi Farmers!
Now you can have TWO Nursery Barns at your farm instead of one. The news has been announced by Lexilicious on Official FarmVille Forums.

“Hi Farmers,

Since the release of Nursery Barns, a glitch has come to our attention that allows users to have more than one Nursery Barn.

This is not the intended functionality of this feature and the ability to have more than one Nursery is a glitch.

We are intending on fixing this issue in the future, however we have decided to allow users to have the ability to possess two Nursery Barns on their farm.

Please know that if you continue to take advantage of this glitch and choose to have more than two Nurseries on your farm, you are building at your own risk, as this issue will be addressed in the future. This fix may result in the loss of any Nursery Barns in excess of two.

We appreciate your patience and understanding with us during this time.

Happy Farming!”

FarmVille Official Podcast – June 4th – Complete Transcript

Hey Farmers, and welcome to this week’s installment of the Official FarmVille Podcast! My name is Lexilicious and I am here to bring you all of the latest news and information about FarmVille from Zynga. This week, we will be discussing our latest releases, you guys will all be getting a sneak peek of things coming to FarmVille in the future, and we have a very special guest with us today to answer some questions from the FarmVille community!

Last Week’s Features

This week featured lots of great new Limited Edition items, as well as some great new features.

FarmVille Move and Recycle Tools

The new “Move” and “Recycle” tools made an appearance this week, allowing users to more easily decorate and rearrange their farms. To access the Move tool, Simply click the Hand icon from the multi-tool menu to enter decoration mode. When in this mode, you will be able to move items with a single click, including plots!

When using the Move tool, you can also use the space bar to rotate applicable items when they are being held.

The new Recycle tool can be used to quickly clean up your farm. This new tool can be accessed by clicking the Recycle symbol in the Multi Tool menu.

The recycle tool will delete items with no value and sell items with coin value. In addition, the Recycle tool includes a “Quick Delete” mode. Quick delete will not warn you about selling or deleting any object worth less than 1,000 coins that is not a limited edition item when enabled.

Quick Delete will also give you an option to choose not to be warned about selling or deleting specific types of items until another tool is used.

FarmVille Biplane

The new FarmVille Biplane was also released this week, which allows you to grow all of your crops instantaneously by applying an eco-friendly mix from the sky!

The Biplane can be purchased from the “Vehicles” Tab of the Market for 30,000 coins and is unlocked at level 12. Alternatively, you can obtain the Biplane by obtaining a Gold Medal in the new “Peanut Butter Jelly Time” Co-op that was released on Thursday.

Applying Instant Grow with the Biplane costs Farm Cash. The amount of Farm Cash you pay is dependent on how much time is left until your crops mature and how many seeded plots are on your farm. After you first purchase your Biplane, you are entitled to one free application of Instant Grow. To use it, simply click on the Biplane and select “Apply Instant Grow”.

FarmVille Limited Edition Tuscan Wedding Items

And lastly, new Limited Edition Tuscan Items and the new Birthday themed decorations are now available in the market, along with the new “Cracked” Achievement.

FarmVille User Submitted Questions

Alright! And that’s about it for new releases this week! On that note, let’s go ahead and get into answering some questions submitted by members of the FarmVille Community! Today, we have a special guest with us who has graciously taken time out of her busy day to sit down and answer some questions from the community about the 7/11 promotion that is currently running.

Our first question comes to us from Ar-nak-nag-sak, and they would like to know “What made FarmVille decide to partner with 7-11 for a promotion?”

Here is what Danielle had to say about this question.

Hi Farmers, my name is Danielle and I work on Product Marketing for FarmVille. I’ve been on the team for close to a year and have seen FarmVille grow into something that has brought enjoyment to millions of players around the globe.

As FarmVille has grown, so has the opportunity to partner with other companies to expand our brand. One such company was 7-Eleven. What initially started as bringing FarmVille to Slurpee cups turned into an opportunity to work with 7-Eleven on a full fledge promotion that involved numerous Zynga branded 7-Eleven merchandise, Zynga marketing posters in and around the store, and the ability for consumers to earn exclusive virtual items.

Our next question comes to us from Icanhazbeez. “Why is this promotion only available to the US, and not to international users?”

While we would have loved to bring this promotion to our international community, we work with all of our partners on an individual basis and due to a number of different variables, including time restraints, we were not able to bring the 7/11 promotion to our international users.

However, It was amazing that we were able to bring this promotion to US and Canadian users within the time frame that we had, although we are still open to future promotions that will include our international community.

And finally, our last question comes to us from Super Woman. “Will there be more future promotions similar to 7-11?”

Due to the popularity of the 7/11 promotion, we will be looking into more opportunities like this in the future. I would personally like to thank everyone who has participated in the 7-eleven promotion and we are very interested in hearing your feedback. Please make sure to visit the official farmville forums with any ideas or suggestions.

Thanks for having me on the podcast. I may be back in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.

Alright, awesome. I want to give a big thank you to Danielle for taking time out of her busy schedule to sit down and talk with us today. And going forward, we will be doing our best to get other members of the FarmVille team to sit down with us to discuss new features and answer questions from the community.

FARMVILLE COMING SOON SEGMENT

So for this week’s coming soon segment, I actually have some information for you guys on something I mentioned very briefly a few months ago in one of our earlier podcasts. The FarmVille team has recently been spending a lot of time coming up with content for our higher level players. Because of that, I am very excited to let you know that in the near future, we will be raising the level cap of 70, and adding more levels to FarmVille! Soon, you will be able to level up to level 100 and beyond. We will also be introducing new high level crops that can only be planted with a special one time purchase Permit and crops that require another crop to be mastered before they can be planted.

Along with the great new crops and additional levels, new high level coin items and gifts will soon be available to our most dedicated farmers.

Make sure to also keep an eye out for the Crafting Cottage preview, where you can find out about these three upcoming buildings and what they can produce. Learn which bushels are required to make some of the crafted goods and make sure to claim your special gift for participating in the preview!

And lastly, as a thank you to our users who have provided us with their email addresses, we will soon be emailing out fuel once a day for 2 weeks to anyone who has signed up for email.

Alright Folks, that’s it from me this week. I will be back next Friday to give you all of the latest news and information from around the Farm. Again, my name is Lexilicious, and I will see you soon. Happy farming everybody!

FarmVille Biplane – Latest FarmVille Vehicle

FarmVille has released another magnificent vehicle with a lot of purpose. Its FarmVille Biplane – a beautiful piece of machinery and flying beauty.

On logging in today, you must have come across this pop up for announcing the arrival of the Biplane.

FarmVille Biplane can be bought from the market for 30,000 Coins which is not much for most of the players having millions in their accounts. 😉

After purchasing, you can find your Biplane along with all your previous FarmVille vehicles – Harvester, Seeder and Tractor.

What does FarmVille Biplane Do?
FarmVille Biplane is a useful vehicle and it can help you in INSTANTLY GROWING your crops. So, now you can grow your 4-day crops in 1 second with just a click of the mouse. The interesting thing is that your first INSTA GROW adventure is a Free Flight as a gift from Zynga Gods.
Just Click on “Grow My Crops” and all your crops will be ready for harvesting.

For every subsequent use of INSTA GROW, you are required to pay 1 FV for instant growing of your entire farm. Very cheap indeed – as compared to 10 FV  for using 1 Unwither on your crops.

So, Have you bought your FarmVille Biplane? Don’t you think that FarmVille Team has gone too generous in this release?

FarmVille New Coop Job – Peanuut Butter Jelly

Now you can start off with another coop job in FarmVille and this time you can stir a Peanut Butter Jelly by growing peanuts and strawberries for sandwiches.
The reward for a Gold Job is a FarmVille BIPLANE which otherwise costs you 30,000 Coins in FarmVille Market.
So, when are you starting your first Peanut Butter Jelly Coop Job?

How to use New FarmVille Buttons: "Move" and "Recycle"

FarmVille team has made some significant changes in the control panel of the game today.

Apart from moving all the vehicles in one tab, they have introduced two new tools – “Move” and “Recycle” tools.

  • How FarmVille Move Tool Works?
    • The new FarmVille Move tool can prove very useful in quick decoration and redecoration of your farm.
    • Just click on the FarmVille Move Tool (Hand) to enter Decoration Mode. When in this mode, you will be able to move items with a single click.
    • The best thing about Move tool is that You can now move planted farms as well, which was not possible previously.
    • When using the Move tool, you can use the space bar to rotate selected items (Only those items which are rotatable) when they are being held.
    • To drop an item, it must first be placed in a valid new location.
  • How FarmVille Recycle Tool Works?
    • FarmVille Recycle Tool can be used to delete different items quickly. It can be found in Multi Tool Menu in bottom right side of your game screen.
    • FarmVille Recycle Tool quickly deletes the items with zero value and sells items with coin value.
    • FarmVille Recycle Tool with confirm before the deletion of any item. In addition, the Recycle tool includes a “Quick Delete” mode. Quick delete will not warn you about selling or deleting any object worth less than 1,000 coins that is not a limited edition item when enabled.

In my opinion, FarmVille Move and Recycle Tools will prove extremely helpful to players who love to decorate their farms using hundreds of hay bales and fences; But extreme caution must be taken while using these tools.

Do you like these new tools? Which tool do you prefer?

Latest FarmVille Ribbon Added – CRACKED

FarmVille has added its latest ribbon in tonight’s update and it is a FarmVille Cracked Ribbon.

How to get FarmVille Cracked Ribbon quickly?
The fastest way to earn FarmVille Cracked Blue Ribbon is to have more chickens on your farm, thus increasing your chances of finding FarmVille Mystery Eggs.

Requirements for FarmVille CRACKED Ribbon

  • Cracked Yellow Ribbon: Open 5 Mystery Eggs
  • Cracked White Ribbon: Open 25 Mystery Eggs
  • Cracked Red Ribbon: Open 75 Mystery Eggs
  • Cracked Blue Ribbon: Open 150 Mystery Eggs

Do you like FarmVille Cracked Ribbon? Is it a good addition in your opinion or not? I think that at least it is better than the ribbon for FarmVille Mystery Boxes? Isn’t it?

Latest FarmVille Podcast – 28 May 2010

Here is the latest FarmVille Podcast issued on 28 May 2010:-

FarmVille Podcast Transcription – May 28th:

Hey Farmers and welcome to the Official FarmVille Podcast! My name is Lexilicious and I am in charge of all things community over here on the FarmVille team. As per usual, I am here to bring you all of the latest news and information about FarmVille from Zynga. This week, we will be discussing our latest releases, I will be answering some user submitted questions from members of the FarmVille community and you guys will all get a sneak peek of things coming to FarmVille in the near future. I am also happy to announce that our Tip of the Week segment has returned due to popular demand, and will be hosted from here on out by our very own Channel Zero!

So this week turned out to be jam packed with both new features and tons of Limited Edition items for everyone to enjoy.

Our most exciting release was the appearance of the long awaited Farmers Market!

At level 15 or higher, the Farmer’s Market allows you to collect bushels from harvested crops that can be used to get bonuses for yourself, or given to neighbors!

Collecting bushels is simply done by harvesting your regular crops. In much the same way that you can harvest Perfect Bunches from Flower crops, you’ll be able collect bushels from all permanent crops available in the Market. When you find your first bushel, you will get a Market Stall.

Alternatively, if you do not wish to wait, you can also purchase a Market Stall in the Buildings section of the Market for either coins or Farm Cash.

Please remember that you are limited to 5 Market Stalls on your farm in total. Each Market Stall you have can sell one type of crop. Once you’ve got your Market Stall in place, you can start collecting bushels to use yourself, or to let neighbors collect by harvesting your crops.

You can access your Market Stall’s menu by selecting “Farmer’s Market” from its pull down menu. Inside, you can see what bushels you’ve collected from your neighbors in the My Bushels section, what bushels your neighbors have available in the Get Bushels section and what bushels your stall is offering in the My Stall section.

Clicking the Get Bushels button will show you all of the bushels that your neighbors are currently offering. From here you can select any available bushels, and it will display a list of each neighbor that has the crop available, and how long their Stall is open for. Selecting a specific neighbor will take you to their Stall.

Bushels taken from your friend’s Stall are added to your inventory, which can be seen in the My Bushels section of your Stall. Once you’ve collected bushels, either from finding them on your own farm or taking them from your neighbors, they’re all displayed in your inventory. You can hold up to 50 bushels in your inventory, and each bushel can be shared or used. Clicking the Share button on any bushel will allow you to offer up a number of bushels of your choosing to your friends, via a feed.

Clicking the Use button consumes one of the selected bushels and gives you a bonus. The type of bonus depends on whether you have access to the crop or not. If the bushel used is for a crop you can plant, you receive a bonus of +1 Mastery whenever that crop is harvested on your farm for two hours. If you have already mastered this crop, the bonus is +1 experience point per harvest.

If you use a bushel of a crop that you are not high enough of a level to plant, you’ll receive a license to plant that crop that lasts for two hours.
Along with being able to collect and use bushels from Market Stalls, you can receive a reward of your choice whenever neighbors use your Stall!

The next time you return to your farm, if your neighbors have used your Market Stall an arrow will point to the appropriate Stall. Viewing the interior of the Stall will show you the three rewards that you can choose from. Coins, Fuel and Experience Points.

Now the Farmer’s Market is a big addition to FarmVille. Because of this, we want to hear your feedback. If you have any opinions you would like to share with us regarding this new feature, please make sure to visit the “Feedback” section of the Official FarmVille forums and let us know what you have to say.
The ability to grow up your baby animals in your Nursery Barn was also released this week, allowing players to raise their foals and calves into an all new adult animals that you can keep!

Depending on what animals are in your Nursery Barn, you have a chance of them growing up into a new Chocolate Cow, Holstein Cow, Black Horse, Cream Draft Horse and a Light Blue Pony when tending to your Nursery Barn.

Now, I have seen lots of questions from people already, who are unhappy that the baby animals do not grow up into their exact adult counterpart. For example, a Kelly green calf will not grow up into a Kelly green cow, it will grow up into one of the new animals I mentioned above. We made the feature the way it is, because many of the cows and horses that produce foals and calves can only be purchased with Farm Cash. It would be highly unfair to the people who purchased these animals for cash to have their friends and neighbors be able to grow their foals and calves up into the same animals for free.

Hopefully that clears things up a little bit for you guys. If you have any more questions about this new feature, please head on over to the Official FarmVille forums for more information.

And on that note, let’s go ahead and get into answering some questions submitted by members of the FarmVille community!

Our first question comes to us today from seidel mx3. “After read the last podcast about bushels, my question is: What happened with the “functional” buildings, like the perfumery, winery and fuel workshop?”

The Perfumery, Winery and Workshop some of you saw in the Market awhile ago, was a test we were doing on those features. While they were not yet functional, we do plan on releasing them in the near future. The buildings you saw were part of our crafting system. We are following up the new Farmers Market with a feature that will allow you to use bushels to craft special goods that you can trade with your friends. Players will be able to choose between several crafting buildings, each with their own unique benefits.

So make sure to keep an eye out for this new feature in the coming weeks.

Our next question comes to us from Mickey Mixx, and they would like to know how long it takes me to prepare the information and research the user submitted questions prior to recording.

Well, the time it takes to pick the questions can vary. I do my best to find questions that fit within the parameters of the segment, as well as ones that will be of interest to the community. Doing this can take me anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Once I have the questions, I usually need to gather information. Depending on how busy the rest of the FarmVille team is, this can take me anywhere from an hour, to a few days. So in total, it does take some time to gather the information for the coming soon segment of the podcast, but it’s totally worth it for you guys to get some insight into how things work over here on FarmVille.

And now I am going to hand you guys over to Channel Zero, who is here to give us our Tip of the Week.

Howdy folks, it’s Channel Zero with your FarmVille Tip of the Week. Each week I’ll be giving you a couple of tips you can use to manage your farm a bit more effectively. This week, I’ve got one for those of you who are new to the game and a special tip for those of you currently tackling the Farmer’s Market.

First up, for those of you just starting up your Farm, I know you might be tempted to try and fill your Farm up with as many plots as you can right away, but hold off. Start out with just a few, plant some crops and get used to the game. One mistake new Farmers make often is adding so many plots to start that they don’t have enough coins left for the crops to plant in them. Take your time. You’ll be tending to a Mighty Plantation in no time.

Next, for all you Farming veterans currently gathering bushels from your neighbors in the Farmer’s Market feature, here’s a reminder. While you can only take 3 bags of bushels from a single neighbor’s Market Stall every 24 hours, you can gather up to 50 bags of bushels in total. So once you’ve run out of bags for one neighbor, head on over to another! If you’ve just started for the day, you’ve got 47 more coming.

Thanks for listenin’, and stay tuned next week for more tips from me, Channel Zero.

And last, but certainly not least, it is time for everyone to get a sneak peek of things coming to farmville in the near future.

We actually have a couple of cool things to talk about this week. Firstly, we will be implementing a new settings menu for everyone. The settings menu will allow you to easily change your preferences, including turning on and off animations, graphics, harvest indicators and the menu auto popping.

Insta-Grow will soon be coming to FarmVille, which will allow you to instantly grow your entire field of crops with our friendly bi-plane. And with this new feature, we will be releasing another nre co-op farming job for you guys to enjoy.

And I know you guys will be happy to hear that the Belted Cow will be coming in the near future. You will be able to purchase this cow for coins, but you are going to have to work for it a little bit.

Alright Folks, that’s it from me this week. I will be back next Friday to give you all of the latest news and information from around the Farm. Again, my name is Lexilicious, and I will see you soon. Happy farming everybody!
